(This site has been replaced by the IdzonWiki)
This is the Internet home for the conworld Idzon, its (fictitious) cultures, and the (fictitious) languages spoken there. Some of the pages will be simple notes about an aspect of the world, and some will be rather technical lingustic or historical essays. A whole world offers seemingly infinite possibilites, so there's always something new to write about, whenever I have the time.
Suvile was the first language I made for Idzon. When I started, I didn't plan on creating a whole world, but I did. Suvile is the lingua franca of the Suzhon, largest country of the Western Continent.
Tutèlya is the major language of some of the eastern parts of Suzhon. It is distantly related to Suvile, but it is much more difficult to learn. Tutèlya was the second Idzoni language that I made.
Andan is a totally different langauge. Not related at all to Suvile or Tutèlya, Andan is spoken in the mountainous countries to the south of Suzhon. It has a style reminiscent of the Semitic languages of Earth.
The original idea came from Virtual Verduria, which is probably the most detailed world on the Internet (outside of our own). The best conlang resource is probably Langmaker, which has links to hundreds of languages and resources to make your own. And the Conlang mailing list is good for just about anything.
The interlinears on this site were made with my ILF script.
07/14/2005: Changed the format of the site so that each language is in a subdirectory, which clears things up for me
06/23/2005: Added the Swadesh List in Suvile
06/13/2005: A new page on the various endings in Suvile.
05/29/2005: Added the Babel Text in Suvile, and a link to the ILF page.
05/21/2005: Created this page, added a link to the Suvile phonology.
